They are currently hiring a Senior E&I engineer to contribute to leading and high-tech projects within high-tech sectors, mainly in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Position
Our client is looking for a skilled professional to oversee electrical and instrumentation tasks across various project stages. The role primarily focuses on projects within regulated industries, especially in life sciences.
This function is stationed in the (East) Antwerp region and is fulltime onsite.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Overall responsibilities
- You will supervise electrical and instrumentation tasks from design to handover, ensuring smooth project execution.
- You will resolve technical issues and contribute to engineering design and solution development.
- You will manage all phases of the project, from concept to detailed engineering and implementation.
- You will handle scheduling, cost management, safety reviews, and site supervision.
- You will assist with daily on-site activities, ensuring smooth progress and resolution of project-related tasks.
- You will support the creation and review of engineering documents, ensuring compliance with standards (GMP).
- You will evaluate and approve vendor and contractor submissions, addressing technical queries.
- You will ensure that safety, quality, and regulatory requirements are integrated into the project.
- You will be based on the client’s site, requiring flexibility and mobility to support various opportunities.
- You hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
- You have between 8 to 10 years of practical experience in E&I engineering, particularly within the Life Sciences sector and/or related industries.
- You have demonstrated expertise in managing E&I engineering tasks, including project coordination, construction, and commissioning phases.
- You possess a strong understanding of relevant laws and industry norms, with familiarity with local electrical standards (such as AREI) being an advantage.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written, reading and speaking. You are proactive, adaptable, innovative, confident, communicative, driven, and structured
- You enjoy working as part of a team but are also highly capable of working autonomously, using insights from the field to inform and improve the design process.
