We are seeking a skilled Distribution Expert (Export-Import-Customs) who is ready to take on a pivotal role in our export operations. If you are detail-oriented and have a passion for logistics and compliance, this opportunity is designed for you.
- You document export shipments in the SAP system and manual systems.
- You document non-commercial export shipments for internal departments.
- You book shipments with carriers/forwarders to ensure on-time delivery according to customer requirements.
- You prepare legalization documents such as Certificates of Origin.
- You file invoices, export documents, transport documents, and correspondence electronically.
- You check customs documents for accuracy and request necessary rectifications.
- You create ED and AV documents for correct customs declarations in import and customs systems.
In addition, you will support the import & customs teams in day-to-day operations and contribute to process improvements within the department, including preparations for upgrading SAP to S4/Hana and implementing GTS and self-filing of customs declarations.
What are we looking for?
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Expedition or Logistics; a Master's degree is optimal.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- You possess proven experience with transport and customs systems.
- You have project experience related to SAP or GTS.
- You are proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with excellent Excel skills.
- You have knowledge and experience with SAP.
- You exhibit a high level of dutifulness and dedication to documentation and workplace cleanliness.
- You are a team player with a strong team spirit.
- You maintain a constructive, flexible, and solution-oriented work style.
- You are self-motivated, a quick learner, and able to work under pressure.
- You have proven experience with quality and compliance in an organization.
- You are proficient in Dutch and English.
