We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to drive digital transformation within a major energy and infrastructure organization.

You’ll play a key role in shaping two strategic data products:

  1. System Model – integrating network model, topology, asset, and grid user data into one reliable source of truth.
  2. GeoSpatial Data – managing geospatial data storage, processing, and analysis for operational and planning needs.

Your mission: connect business and IT, optimize processes, and translate complex operational requirements into pragmatic, scalable solutions that support the energy transition.

What You’ll Do

  • Model and optimize business processes, guiding stakeholders through process redesign.
  • Capture and translate business needs into detailed requirements (epics, features, user stories).
  • Challenge and refine existing processes to achieve greater efficiency and alignment.
  • Develop business information models describing data, interfaces, reports, and migrations.
  • Align business, IT, and data teams — validating requirements and ensuring end-to-end consistency.
  • Review and validate functional analyses and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Contribute to change management through user training, documentation, and adoption support.

What are we looking for?

  • Master’s degree in a technical or economic field, or equivalent through experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, focusing on process design and requirements management.
  • Proven experience modeling with BPMN 2.0 and UML class diagrams.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, aligning multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in planning and organization, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in Dutch or French, with at least a basic knowledge of the other national language, and professional English proficiency.
  • Availability by 15 November 2025 at the latest.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience within the electricity, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
  • Knowledge of asset reference systems and GIS technologies.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architect (EA), Jira, and Azure DevOps.
  • Background in data products, data modeling, or digital asset management.

What do we offer?

Location: Brussels region – on-site presence required.

Contract: Freelance or Permanent.

Start Date: As soon as possible (no later than 15 November 2025).

Duration: Until January 2027, with possible extension.
